Trying to face what the subconscious mind tries to suppress can be hard, challenging, dark…

As far as healing from these traumatic experiences goes, I have a long way to go.

It has always been a bumpy road, many obstacles and plot twists along the way too.

Not sure where I’ll go with this next book of poetry. The goal is to think outside the box, take some risks, challenge myself to write authentically, honestly and stay true to me.

Of course, I like to keep it cryptic at times, perhaps a little idealistic, imaginative and less brutal in depth.

All in all, I have a feeling that this project might take a darker turn, especially with the title that it has.

In terms of themes for the poems, the keywords are: betrayal, deceit, greed, power, trauma, melancholy, liberation, identity, freedom, therapy, spiritual, loyalty.

Those are all the only ones that come to mind at the moment. I’ve got a lot of ideas, I just need to complete the puzzle.

In time, it will make sense.
