Commentary Of A Writing Enthusiast

Talking to yourself is somewhat therapeutic for the soul.

Even in the darkest of times, you’ll always have yourself.

Often enough, I am my own commentary genius. Well, in my mind.

People can define it as they choose, but nothing keeps me more down-to-earth than a few wise words from yours truly.

In the end, you know yourself best. Or perhaps, as close to it as can be. That’s just my personal opinion.

Have a wonderful night, take care of you.

What is the best advice you’ve ever given to yourself?

  1. The best advice I ever give myself is “walk away.” Too many times in life I’ve found myself in an unacceptable situations (once owning a business I hated, twice in a home that didn’t suit me, twice in recent friendships that were toxic, etc), and the worst thing to do, once the situation is recognized as unsatisfactory, is to continue salvage efforts.

Sometimes, we just have to walk away.

I’ve said it for a long time: we are the best friends we have. Like they say on the airplane, when the oxygen mask drops, save yourself first. We’re no good to anyone else otherwise.

Thank you for the wise words today, Mila! It sounds like something I’d say to me. 😉
