Reasons To Smile

Hard to believe July is soon coming to an end.

I feel like time is passing by at the speed of light, and it’s a strange feeling at times.

Let’s hope the weather cools down, a little too hot at the moment.

Hoping to get inspired to write some poetry for the next book soon, if that’s on the cards for me or not, only time will tell.

To think it’s been over three years since my last one, I can hardly believe it.

I’m grateful and blessed in so many ways, especially in recent months.

Here’s to a wonderful rest of 2021.

Balancing Life Out

Wasn’t meant to post so late, but I didn’t have a chance to until now.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t tired, and I look forward to getting some sleep. But honestly, I’ve got an exam in two days which is making me so nervous.

Anyway, I’ll leave it at that for the time being. Hope you all have a great day!

Plans For The Weekend

It’s been a surprisingly good day.

Despite the fact that I’m absolutely exhausted from my walk earlier and so nervous about getting my exam result at some point next week, the hope is still there.

Was close to falling asleep before, so gathering some energy to write a quick post on here took a lot.

A long weekend, you can’t complain about that, can you?

My birthday is also getting closer by the hour and I’m still very conflicted.

Yes, getting older is great, you learn so much in a small space of time and I’m grateful.

It can be quite bittersweet sometimes, though.

All in all, happy Friday everyone!

Happy Easter

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and blessed Easter Sunday.

Although it’s not possible to be as close to our loved ones as we would like, I do believe as time progresses and breakthroughs are made, that things will get better and my hope for this has not changed, despite the current unpredictability of life as we know it.

Have a wonderful day/evening!

Clear Skies And Sunshine

Sunny weather can have such a positive impact on your mood and it’s brilliant. The last couple of days, I’ve never felt better.

Easter is around the corner too, which I’m looking forward to as well.

I’m hoping to focus on the new book project a lot in these next few weeks or so. Connecting with my friends again would be cool, social interaction of any kind is good for the soul. Well, depending on the situation, I suppose.

Cherish your loved ones, live in the moment, be kind to yourself.

That’s what I’d tell my younger self: be brave.

Embracing Life In The Moment

Slightly nervous about tomorrow, although I am trying to remain hopeful despite all these emotions going on. Patience can be a complex thing.

I honestly feel so good today, though. Lovely food, incredibly productive with my household chores and cleaned the entire house (literally)

This might be a small thing to some, but for me, I appreciate all the accomplishments and achievements of the day, no matter how big or small they might be.

Going to bed shortly after posting this, should have studied more than I have, and I just hope that doesn’t impact my progress. For the most part, I’ve worked hard on a lot, which is not always possible due to many reasons and it depends on the day and how I feel.

Part of me wants to return to listening on 7cups (anonymous website/platform where you can reach out to someone etc) and it’s been on my mind quite often in the last few weeks. On the weekend, I’m definitely going to log in and check what’s new on there.

Anyway, enough of me rambling on. Have a wonderful evening!

Wednesday Inspiration

I really want to begin work on poetry book #3.

There’s a lot of ideas and thoughts going through my mind right now, and I trust my intuition when it comes to knowing the perfect time to sit down and create.

Which reminds me, I need to get a big dining table, would make it a lot easier to write, use my laptop and a lot of other things too.

I also have an urge to spruce up my home, interior wise. Been organizing the bedroom a lot in the last couple of days.

Simple changes to the bedding, or the curtains, that’s enough to bring new life into a room. Maybe I should buy some paint whilst I’m at it.

It’s the small details I pay attention to, and those bring me joy in the midst of all other circumstances.

2021 has been strange yet wonderful so far, and I hope the coming months will be more positive than the previous.

Hope you’re all well, stay safe.

Simple Accomplishments

Another day, another blog post on DAYDREAM MADNESS.

I was going to write this earlier in the day, but lost track of time and better late than never, in my opinion.

Got my whole list ticked off before 8pm, so that was a nice feeling.

Started some new supplements today, which really helped my energy levels. I’ve become quite interested in all things health, nutrition and more.

To be honest, I’ve never felt better. I truly wish I had found this motivation sooner than I did, but I lost interest many times in the past.

As I got older, I definitely appreciated myself a lot more, took the time to better my life for me and no one else. Every person’s journey is different, and mine has always been imbalanced as of recent years.

More than ever, I’m determined to stay on track and find balance.

Easier said than done, but I think it’s going pretty well so far.

Going to sleep rather soon, I need all the rest I can get for tomorrow’s long day ahead. Wishing you all well, take care of yourselves and stay safe.

Rainy Days In February

I was hoping to write this earlier in the day, but had quite a lot to do and that was tiring. As I write this, I can hear the sound of rain on my bedroom window tonight and it definitely has a calming effect on me.

Hopefully I fall asleep shortly, after posting this and completing a few things first. My annual WordPress subscription got renewed today, which means I don’t have to worry about that for another year now. I just have to renew the domain name in April.

As much as I don’t like the price of the subscription, the premium themes are so worth it. The simplicity of my current theme is wonderful, to say the least.

Minor changes might be made soon, but nothing too outrageous.

Tomorrow is going to be a little busy, but it should be fine, as long as I stay on target with what I need to get done. I often try and make lists the night before, it’s very motivating when you need some positive encouragement.

Anyway, before I ramble too much, I’ll leave it at that until the end of tomorrow.

Stay safe, take care of you and others and be kind.

The Writing Streak Continues

An early addition, for me anyway.

Hello readers, bloggers and human beings.

Found it a little difficult knowing what to write, but I want to keep this streak of writing alive for the time being. After all, this is a personal blog.

I’ve been meaning to start work on my next book of poetry, although it’s still a work in progress. A lot is going on, but I’m feeling positive so far.

Focusing on my health is a priority at the moment, as well as other things alongside that. I am determined to stick to my resolutions this year, in a healthy and gradual way. I try not to call it ‘dieting’ as it can trigger unhealthy eating habits.

Being the impatient young woman I am, it can feel like this whole process is taking a long time, yet I do understand that it’s not an overnight change.

Anyway, I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend.

Stay safe, take care, be kind.
