Hello 2022: Happy New Year!

As the title says, 2022 is finally here.

Happy New Year to all of you, WordPressers!

I look forward to a year of consistent uploads, and I am sure you do too.

Made a promise to myself that 2022 would be the year that I focus on writing more, I also want to be more present on social media as well, and I am hoping to make some changes to DAYDREAM MADNESS in terms of layout, change things up a bit, so definitely stay tuned for that over the next few months or so.

Starting work on poetry book #3 is also going to be a priority this year, it has been almost 4 years since my last project was created, so this is long overdue, in my opinion.

I can honestly not believe it has been so long since Lay Your Hands Bare (2017) & A Cryptic Human Entity (2018) were made public for the first time.

With each collection, I want to challenge myself and learn to express my emotions and thoughts in a balanced way, especially the ones that are attached to trauma.

I have a long way to go until the healing process is anywhere near complete, or accomplished in some way, shall we say. I am very grateful for the wisdom and clarity that has been brought into my life in the last few years.

Getting older has taught me so much about myself, as well as other people and their intentions.

And I just wanted to say thank you for the almost 500 followers I’ve managed to get on here since 2015, it truly means the world.

Despite the inconsistencies and hiatuses, you’ve always given me a reason to stick with the blog, regardless of how much or little I might post.

Being an introvert, it can be tricky knowing how to step outside the box for once. It can be awkward a lot of the time, truthfully.

But writing is therapy, it is an outlet for those very difficult thoughts and feelings. I’m not planning to share everything about my life, but I do want to be more open and confident in myself.

Insecurities can get the best of you sometimes, I know that all too well.

So, be kind to yourself and others, take one day at a time and just know that life is a complex journey, but it’ll be okay. You will be okay, no matter how tough it might be right now.

Resolutions: 2020 Vision, Goals & Mindfulness

As previously mentioned, I wanted to make a quick note of my vision for the year ahead, what I hope to achieve and accomplish, amongst other things.

This isn’t your average list. In fact, I don’t feel it is of use to even make one.

Sure, a healthier lifestyle would be very beneficial, and a more balanced approach to mindfulness is what I hope to grasp, eventually.

Taking care of yourself, as well as the ones around you, it’s vital, to be the best version you can be, of you.

2020: A New Era

Another decade has begun, and I am so ready to make it my own. The last ten years were definitely a challenge at times, sometimes a bitter to swallow.

All in all, I’m still grateful for the experience, as difficult as it was to endure.

You learn so much about yourself in times of predicament, the obstacles seemed like they would never stop blocking my path.

I honestly felt like I lost myself in the abyss of self-doubt. There were months where I couldn’t think, or even write. For the last half of 2019, I neglected my blog as a result.

Not being able to express what I was going through, it was agony for a writer like me. All I wanted to do was sit down and spill my thoughts, so I wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed about all the things, that were happening around me.

It felt like my head could explode, that’s how heavy it was, to bear all this on these shoulders of mine.

This next decade, I want to do things a lot differently. For starters, starting work on my next project is on my list.

Resolutions and such, I’ll talk about on my next blog post tomorrow. For now, I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I hope 2020 is the start of something beautiful and bright.

Love,

Mila. Xo

New Year 2019 – Daily Blog Posts?

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve had an amazing first day of 2019. Just wanted to write a quick post, and I’ll start posting daily on the blog from now on. 2018 was tough, and writing wasn’t fun to do at all previously, so I really wanted to make an effort this time and stick to my word of consistent posts, and have a balanced routine of thoughts, poems, opinions, so forth.

Thank you to the ones who check my blog often, you’re incredible,

to say the least.

I’m excited to see what the year holds for me, personally. Of course, I did a resolutions post about a week and a half ago, which I’ll be trying to focus on.

How was your first day of 2019?

And like I said, I’ll be on here every day from now on. May you all have a wonderful day or night, depending on where you are and such.

Take care, everyone!

Yours Truly,

Mila xo
