What a chaotic day in the world, to be honest.
Violence is never the answer, and that’s something I truly stand by, in times of great difficulty and turmoil. That being said, there are people with good intentions, and people with bad intentions. Sometimes, it can be hard to distinguish one from the other.
It only shows the true colors of society, humanity as we know it is on thin ice. It’s 2021 and there’s still a lot to accomplish until we can honestly say that change has occurred. Until then, only time will tell what happens next.
At times, I’m glad I often refrain from reading every article out there, all the fear and pain of the world can be a lot to bear on one’s shoulders. Hopefully, as we evolve as human beings, society’s thoughts and views will too.
The toxicity of social media can be very damaging, a limited amount is just enough to go about your daily life. Of course, there are many pros and cons to any platform or website: censorship (we all know there needs to be boundaries but too much is too much), algorithms that are flawed, news that is not always as great as it could be. I could go on, but I’m sure everyone knows what I mean.
I’ve never understood the ones who are submerged in the waters of their online presence. Of course, there are many great things and people that have emerged from the digital world, but there’s also a lot of negativity, unnecessary hatred, bullying, discrimination and lack of equality.
We need more love and kindness in the world. Empathy lacks and so does accountability and gratitude. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, which makes today even more important to appreciate. Better late than never, I say.
I wish all of you nothing but the best and I hope you’re staying safe.
With each hiatus, the guilt intensifies. It used to be less complicated, when it came to knowing what to say. It’s like staring in the mirror and not recognizing the face looking back. Call it writer’s blues, an obstacle of sorts, or something else along the lines of that.
Either way, there is a level of comfort in coming back, with a clear head, mindset in a better place. Struggles will come and go, as will many things, including people, memories, experiences and time.
Inspiration and motivation really does come at weird times. It’s almost five in the morning and for some reason, it felt like the right time to sit down with this little notebook on my lap, and just start expressing my thoughts.
Better late (or early) than never, I suppose. Also, I am not entirely sure what the title of this blog post represents, it just sounded nice. Maybe I just used it because I didn’t want to forget it?
It could make a good poetry concept, in the near future. We’ll see, though.
Speaking of poetry, I’ve really been slacking with this third project of mine. For a while now, something didn’t feel right anymore and I think a lot of it has to do with the overall theme of deceit and betrayal. Is it worth pursuing? Of course, there’s a time and place for all things emotive.
Only time will tell what I decide to do, a shift in themes might be good for my mind and soul. Food for thought, honestly. We all need a clean slate.
A little tired at this point, trying not to ramble. There might be some physical changes to the blog soon, not sure yet. I feel like it needs some love and care after being absent for months. A bit of change is therapeutic. For example, I recently cut my hair short and I am loving the current length.
The main reason why I did it was to let my hair recover from years of bleaching, dyeing, and heat styling. If my patience wears away, I might find myself becoming a blonde again by the end of this horrific year. Who knows, I make no solid promises to stay the same.
As I end this blog post, I want to thank the ones who have supported this blog throughout. The world needs more people like you.
Take care, stay safe.
Hi everyone, I hope you’ve had an amazing first day of 2019. Just wanted to write a quick post, and I’ll start posting daily on the blog from now on. 2018 was tough, and writing wasn’t fun to do at all previously, so I really wanted to make an effort this time and stick to my word of consistent posts, and have a balanced routine of thoughts, poems, opinions, so forth.
Thank you to the ones who check my blog often, you’re incredible,
to say the least.
I’m excited to see what the year holds for me, personally. Of course, I did a resolutions post about a week and a half ago, which I’ll be trying to focus on.
How was your first day of 2019?
And like I said, I’ll be on here every day from now on. May you all have a wonderful day or night, depending on where you are and such.
Take care, everyone!
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to update my blog in a more consistent matter and I have many plans in doing so, so that I can stick with one of my few personal goals for 2o17.
Who we are now is not who we will be in 5, even 10 years time.
Life is an ever-changing cycle, emotions are too, and you.
